First components for Servoy 4.0 beta released PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 30 June 2008 20:20
Today we released the first beta versions of 13 of our Components for Servoy.

Our Components for Servoy are based on a completely rewritten framework and new licensing system.
Because of that we have been able to make installation and deployment of the Components easier.

The following changes have been implemented:

  1. More logical location of libraries.
  2. Return of the 'in code' runtime license registration.
  3. One, easy accessible (in workspace), xml file for runtime licenses with import and export function via preference panels.
  4. Use of Eclipse Update Manager.
  5. Easier accessible preference files (in workspace).
  6. Direct, via preferences, application for trial licenses.
  7. (Future) direct activation of commerical licenses.

The new Components do not mix with the old Components or pre 4.0 version of Servoy (and vice versa).

Documentation/Screenshots explaining how to download the components and apply for trial licenses can be found in our Support forum by following the link: http://www.it2be.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryid=16&pcid=0&nav=0
