The Menubar Plug-in enables you to manipulate the menubar and toolbars and to create contextual menu's.

The Menubar Plug-in is our first commercial Plug-in.
Servoy doesn't offer the ability to manipulate the menubar out of the box. The Menubar Plug-in however enables you to do so (and much more).

With the Menubar Plug-in you can:

• Add, edit and remove menu's
• Add, edit and remove menu items
• Add, edit and remove checkbox items
• Add, edit and remove radiobutton items
• Add, edit and remove submenu's
• Reset the menubar to default
• Select items via scripting

• Add, edit and remove toolbars
• Add, edit and remove toobar buttons
• Add, edit and remove toolbar combobox
• Add, edit and remove toolbar checkbox

• Add a popup menu
• Add a contextual menu (right-click popup)
• Add a mouser-over menu

Where applicable (depending on the menu, menu item and OS) you can manipulate mnemonics and accelerators.
Mnemonics offer a way to use the keyboard to navigate the menu hierarchy, increasing the accessibility of programs. Accelerators, on the other hand, offer keyboard shortcuts to bypass navigating the menu hierarchy. By calling a (global) method you can use the menu to add your own help menu, preferences panel etc...
When clicked the menu item hands over the menu index, item index, menu text, item text and selected value. It is also possible to 'attach' your own variable data to the menu item.



Starting with version 1.1 it is possible to create a menu with our new MenuBar wizard. The wizard will help you to create all parameters from a fill in field instead of the command line, where possible you will find guidance on what parameters you can use.

• To use Solution specific menu's.
• To use Form/Module specific menu's.
• To use dynamic menus (e.g. per user settings, system settings etc.).
• To add (new) shortkeys to your solutions.
• To add your own toolbars.
• To add popup menu's to elements.
• To add contextual (right-click) menu's to elements.

So, all Solutions will benefit from this Plug-in.

When you start using one or more of our Plug-ins and Beans, Free or Commercial, you need to install them into your Servoy Application Server directory.

To avoid surprises and stress during (or after) the installation process we advise you to read the below instructions, watch the video's and import the sample solution.

Servoy 4 Eclipse
Installation of our Plug-ins and Beans is done by making use of the Eclipse Software Updater.
The Software Updater can be used to manually install but also to perform a scheduled update.
To get a full understanding of the Software Updater you can read more about it on the Eclipse website.

Servoy 3.x
To make the installation and update process of our Plug-ins and Beans as easy as possible we have developed the Update Manager.
The Update Manager is also what you will actually download and install before you can really install a Plug-in or a Bean.

License Agreement
Use of our plug-ins and beans is always subject to our Terms and Conditions and License agreement that accompany the components.
The agreements may also be found here and here.
To use the Plug-ins and Beans you need a valid license (Trial license or otherwise).

Licenses for Servoy 3.x
New Customers:
If you have not already purchased an IT2BE Plug-in or Bean License,
go to the download section to download the Installer for the Update Manager.
Run the Installer and install the Update Manager in the Servoy directory of your choice.
Start Servoy Developer and navigate to 'Tools/IT2BE Update Manager'.
Check the "Update" checkbox for the IT2BE Plug-in(s) and/or Bean(s) of your choice.
Select the "Update" button and wait for the Component(s) to download.

Returning Customers:
If you have already purchased an IT2BE Plug-in or Bean License, go to the contact pages to apply for an IT2BE Trial License - doing so will prevent any conflict with existing IT2BE Component Licensing.

License jars:
For each component you will receive 2 license jars. These jars are loaded into the it2be-developer and it2be-runtime subfolders under the plugins folder of Servoy.
The ${product}-developer.jar license jar is there for your development environment. You are never allowed to deploy these license jars.
The ${product}-runtime.jar license jar is the jar you are allowed to deploy when your license grants you these rights.

New Customers

License files:
When you receive a confirmation email it will include 2 files.
The .xml file is the file that contains your Developer License Key. You need to import into your Servoy Developer environment (see above instructions). You are never allowed to deploy your Developer License.
The .txt file contains a license string for each Component. The license string should be included in your Servoy Solution before you call the Component for the first time. Make sure that you prefix the string with the correct element name.

How to buy a license
After clicking the button of your selection you will be brought to the secure website of Share*it.
Here you can add the Component to your shopping cart and continue shopping or check out to do your payment.
After your payment you will receive a confirmation email and we will send you the license files as soon as possible. Normally within 2 working days.
